No I do not have a heart disease. My heart is fine. In case you were some how worried by my title. If you even read titles. I stress more than I should about titles. Whatever.
Exploding heart = SUPER good.
I know in my last post I went on and on about how happy I am. Well, thankfully, that continues. To the point where my heart could explode. I've had my days. Ie, Chris and I had a long talk one night about each other and what we need from each other, which I think is good. We've been together 3 years [ and no where near figuring everything out ] and adding a new little person has definitely changed things. I love when him and I can talk things out. I'm still learning. I tend to bottle things and just get frustrated and shut down. But all in all, life is so good.
He starts at UPS tomorrow, bright and early, 530am. Fun. So he's been in bed for a few hours. And I fed the baby, and put him in his crib [ it's been a while. the bassinet is SO easy! ] and have just been sitting. Alone. Being me. Weird. We got these fancy baby monitors [cause our house is soooo huge (not)!!] but I think they make Logan's little sounds so much cuter ! He coos and babbles and it just sounds so perfect through this little speaker on the table. He's perfect.
I'm gearing up for my trip. Mentally. I have done NOTHING to actually get ready. Except for everyones blog tips on traveling with an infant. Mom asked for a list of things she needs to get before I get there: ie diapers, pack n play etc. And I have like 4 things on the list... I can't think of anything ! He really doesn't need much, except me. But thinking of being out there in a couple days gets me all giddy. I'm so excited for Logan to meet the other half of this huge family he just inherited :] He's adorable and they are going to eat him up ! Especially now that he's fun and talks and giggles and smiles. I love it ! And I'm excited for food lol Cafe Rio. In-N-Out... Tucanos if I can spare the money and calories. Ah, food.. I love thee !
I have two weeks left on my maternity leave. ::sigh:: I need to soak up every second. I can't imagine being away from my little guy !

Happy happy happy !
I was thinking about what to write about in my next blog post and all I really keep thinking in my head is "I'm happy." I just want to put that in a post and call it a day. There aren't words that describe what in my life is making me happy, how it's making me happy, etc etc.
Overall I love being a mom. I have enjoyed these last 6 weeks with my little guy. Just doing our thing. I'm sure if I kept going for months and months I might get a little stir crazy but I don't think so. Maybe because I don't have months and months... Just a little over 2 weeks. ::sob:: !! Logan is such a good little baby. He's not doing so well at the moment. He's got a little tiny cold/allergy thing. Stuff nose, cough, sneezy... it's so depressing and pathetic sounding. And it's making him super cranky. And waking up all through the night. Poor little guy. But our pediatrician is awesome and I called at 9am concerned and was there at 11am talking to the doctor. And I got to talk to her about other things that I've been wondering about since I didn't want to wait another two weeks for my appt. So moral of the story: I love my son. I love being his mom. I love everything he does. Even our little fun times at 4am. He's the best thing in my life and I don't know what I'd do without him and how we waited so long.
Now for what's been going on. This last week or so has been insane. The Peers are in town [I LOVE THEM!] We finally got schedules worked out and they got to visit and now Lorien never wants to leave and I'm fine with that. We need them back. Let's make it happen people ! Katie and Carl got married <3 It was beautiful, she was beautiful, Carl cleans up nice ! I love weddings. Logan was my date and we got him all dressed up in a little suit onesie. It's fun all the attention he gets. He's such a cute baby. Congrats to Carl & Katie and starting their lives [hopefully] together. I wonder what she's doing... Katie?! Are you staying or leaving? Don't leave us !! Except you can, cause it's for your husband... Brenda & the kids are in town. can't believe how much they've grown ! I love when they visit. I miss seeing them !
Chris has been wanting to quit RadioShack. It's minimum wage so thats frustrating. They've lost 2 people and so its stressful. And I personally don't care for his manager. Double standards aren't cool sir ! BUT, a few weeks ago Nathan and Alix [Chris' cousin & wife] were telling us about a UPS job from 4am-9am and how Nathan was going to do it cause it's good money, early enough to not interfere with the rest of life, etc etc. And UPS pays good. Well Nathan can't do it with his 8am class. So I told Chris, applied him a week ago, he had an interview Monday, got "hired", finished forms and paperwork today, and will start the day after tomorrow. Yay for boxes and trucks and loading/unloading. 4am-9am. He'll get $1 raise after 90 days. I want a dollar raise... This is an INCREDIBLE blessing. He was just going to quit work all together and stay home to take care of Logan, and then just worry about daycare during class time. It was going to be an adjustment to lose his paycheck and live exclusively on mine, even though I make more than enough. But now, he'll be making more (!!) without his work schedule interfering with Logan or class. It's so perfect, I want to cry. Blessings!
Speaking of blessings, we were still struggling to find someone to take Logan during Chris' Tues/Thurs 9-12pm class. Not really sure what to do. Not really wanting to go with the lady we interviewed cause I got weird vibes, well, just didn't really feel 100% about her. But lovely Suzie from my church said she'd take him. She works at home and thought she'd have him full time (M-F 9-5) and when said it'd probably just be those 6 hours and maybe a few more during the week depending on Chris' workload in school... BUT HOW AWESOME! She said she isn't doing it for the money, she just wants to help and I just want to sit in a corner and cry. Denae is taking Logan for the 3 weeks in july I have to go back to work... which she might not have to now, since Chris is quitting RadioShack... But she's such a blessing. Suzie is an incredible blessing. UPS, this house. So many blessings.
And next week I get to hop on a plane with my little guy and fly west [oh how I miss thee!] and see my family. My mom is so excited. I can't wait for everyone to meet Logan. He's going to be so big, it's crazy! Did I mention he's 12lbs already ! Ah ! 0-3mos clothes mark 12lbs as the high end... Um.. dude, you're not even 2 months yet! Slow down ! It's going to be a fun trip. Stressful I'm sure. But fun. And worth it. I hope little guy is feeling better by then... sick baby + traveling alone = no bueno.
It really is incredible how many things have worked out for us. Obedience brings blessings. I promise. I know it. Give it a try and see. The Lord is just waiting to give you anything and everything to make you happy. All He asks is you follow Him and what He's commanded. Disclaimer: Chris and I are by no means perfect and doing everything. We miss scripture study ALL the time. I don't remember the last time we had family prayer. But we're trying. We try to remain worthy. We try to do these things we're supposed to do. It's the effort. The Lord knows your heart.
I just can't begin to explain how incredibly happy I am. Content.

The Practical Use of My Time
Since little man is sort of soundly sleeping in his swing right now, hey, why not post an update. Who needs to shower, eat, vacuum, or heaven forbid, put on a bra today. Too much? Welcome to my life :]
Life has been practically perfect in every way [which movie.. anyone? come on!] I must admit every day does kind of blend into the next, but honestly, there isn't much difference between them. I know all you moms and some dads probably know, and I knew it too. But I don't hate it like so many I've heard before have. I could sit and stare at my little Logan all day and probably do more than most. I'm starting to regret getting him out of his crib when he was sleeping too long just so he could sleep in my arms. Now he won't sleep in his crib during the day for more than 30 mins. Good job on that one. But things are going great. I'm dreading going back to work and not having him with me. I'm such a loser I even brought him with me to run from my in laws to my house [less than a mile] just to grab some piano music from my basement. A total of MAYBE 5 mins. But I haven't even left him, or been without him since he was born. We've been under the same roof for a month and I refuse to leave him until I have to. I feel foolish, but unless you have to go back to a full time job and want more than anything to be a stay at home mom, shut it. You don't understand. I have no idea where this post is going.
I keep track of the days. Go me. Thank goodness for my paintchip calendar I made a while back. I glance at it at least once a day. Thankfully Chris works a pretty set schedule so I know it's either Monday Wednesday or Friday when he is working. Sundays I think are the only day where things are different. I make myself take a shower *at least* every other day. [Some may cringe at only every other day, but bite me. I've read some moms forget and go a whole lot longer. So high *5* me !] I'm starting to hate my couch. I've made a dent. I live on it. I do try to get out. Maybe not everyday cause I'm not that ambitious and some nights are hard and I don't want to see the world. We'll go walk around the mall, visit daddy, maybe go to lunch with someone. I like that I've taken him out [a lot] before the typical 6 week mark. Chris thinks I'm going to kill him but I think he'll have a rockin' immune system like his mom. He's been to church 4 times, and once of those 4 was for all three hours. No one touched him needlessly, no one stole him from me [I know there's still time and I don't want beat someone at church... just doesn't seem appropriate] and he didn't scream and wail during the quiet moments. I know, again, there's still time for that.
All in all. Life is wonderful. Being a mom is wonderful. Don't hate me because I do have my moments where it's not all rose colored and I want to cry, or punch Chris or lock myself in a closet and disappear for a moment. But much like all the crappy parts of pregnancy and labor, I don't really remember them. I recall them, but they're not nearly as strong and piercing as all the wonderful things.
The cute smiles. The little laughs. The sweetest little noises he makes ALL the time. His super sweet fauxhawk. That sweet moment when he is staring at me and I know he's seeing me. When just me talking to him calms his fussiness. Oh being a mom. I know it only gets better from here. I know as he grows [which I want to slow down ! goodness where did a month go] things will only get better, and more fun and all that as he does new things and turns into a person instead of my coined phrase : a blob of a baby. And I can't wait. But for now, I'm content to be here when he wakes up, and feed him and rock him and snuggle and change him and repeat. I am a cow and maid in essence. But I'd never want to be anything else for anyone else.
I love my little one month old little baby boy.

Then there were three!
I don't even know where to start ! Life has been [obviously] insane crazy with so much going on. I bet you know what I'm talking about !
So yeah. I had a baby. A beautiful baby boy. A perfect little miracle and all those cliche things people say. There's a reason those are cliches and everyone says them. CAUSE THEY'RE TRUE !
Let's start from the beginning. I'm trying to think of a good way to chronicle this. I'm trying to avoid details and boring, and blah blah blahblahblahlkjdfslkjs.
Thursday May 2 I had my ultrasound appt to measure the baby, and decide what we want to do. He was measuring on schedule, but was approx. 8lbs 1 1/2 early. If we wait. Then what? Deliver a 10lbs baby !? AH ! Doc eventually decided that Monday we would induce and have a baby. AH. Where did my last week go?! So Thursday my lovely Sydney came and helped me finish things at the house. She helped fix/clean my dishwasher, finish arranging the baby's room, and basically get the rest of things put away and unpacked and cleaned. She's efficient. So it happened. Then we went to Iron Man 3 [love love love] and got home super late, I think finally to bed at 2am-ish... Lame.
And here is where the fun begins.
500am I woke up to pee [so I thought] and couldn't fall back asleep because I was having these crazy cramps. Not un-normal. I usually wait for them to pass and fall asleep before another hits. Oh, but these are happening to fast.
530am [I won't do times the whole post, cause I dont remember them all. so have no fear!] I'm breathing through these "cramps" and eventually wake Chris up [sorry baby!] and he's like oh crap, what's going on. are we going to the hospital.OMGosharewehavingababy?!?
So we start calling his parents, since his mom is one of my people and I wanted to ask her if I was having contractions. 5 phones, 2 ipods later NO ONE IS ANSWERING ! Everyone overslept and "didn't hear their phones" so around 7am we just show up, Chris sneaks into the house, wakes them up, drops of Daisy and off to the hospital.
Contractions are ~2/3 mins. Sweet.
Hospital says I am actually in labor. Yay. I'm not crazy! [Ok less details Haley ! Or this is going to go on forever!!}
Medicine makes me sick. Sweet. Contractions hurt. Took forever to get a room in labor and delivery. Stupid laboring women. Just kidding. I get in. Wait to get my epidural [cause I'm a rockstart, except that I'm not]. I wasn't really progressing fast so got my drugs [I am a HUGE fan of epidurals... seriously. no joke] break my water, lets get this show on the road ! Again, epidurals = love. Heavensent. Judge me all you want. It made the 14+ hours I was having contractions far more enjoyable.
So ~7am ish we checked in. 5pm (yes... PM) we're waiting on my doctor, cause I'm ready and all is good to go. Oh jk, he's stuck at the other hospital doing an emergency c-section on a breech baby. RUDE. THANKS BREECH BABY ! So we'll wait at least an hour... oh no, now my epidural is wearing off... great... more drugs [did I mention they make me sick... labor+contractions+throwing up... no good] wait.. and wait. over and hour... more drugs... waiting... OH NOW HE'S HERE ! I'm pretty sure it was about 630/645ish when they're gearing up and we're getting ready. I'm exhausted. I've been up since 530am. Got 3 hours of sleep. I haven't even done the hard part yet. LAME. But the doc is here.
Lets push.
Talk about the hardest thing ever. That is not an understatement. But also the most rewarding. It was exhausting. It was the best thing I've ever done in my life. I can't even describe the moment when they laid that perfect little boy on my belly. [my now empty belly... depressing!] He is beautiful. He's perfect. He's so sweet and I'm so glad we can keep him forever. He's been the best little baby the last two weeks and been so nice so I can figure out how to keep him alive.

Being a mom [ya know, since I've been doing it for so long] is the happiest I've been. I love it. I love just staring at this super cute little boy that we've made. It truly is incredible. I thought I'd had experiences that were amazing, or the best ever. But none of them come close.
This is what it's all about.

Heaven help me !
Two and half weeks without a post. My apologies followers !
Life has been pretty insane. I mean, besides growing a human, which contrary to your thinking is a lot of work and exhausting and makes moving so awkward, I've had so much going on. With finally getting the keys to the house and trying to paint and move and, and AH. I can't take it much longer. Packing was just done bit by bit, a box here and there, unload at the house and take the box back, repack. And for some reason it seemed like we only ever started working 7pm or later. And it was exhausting. Is exhausting. But house was painted in a week. Which also killed. My legs are muscly and awesome going up and down that step ladder. So house painted, we're pretty much out of the apartment. The last few things are cleaning things that need to be there. And mostly its been bit by bit, on my days off, pack a box, wipe down the bathroom, today was clean the fridge. Chris has been working and school and I feel like it's mostly been on me. Kind of frustrating. Not anything against him, he's busy doing stuff. And whenever I explain to people how exhausting my life is, they all complain, "you need to take it easy, put your feet up" etc etc. Um... so are the moving fairies going to get me in my house? Are YOU? HA. We're just so so so close. Can't wait. Then I get to start on the daunting task of unpacking. Nothing like a 2 week time limit... please stay in there little baby !
But we love the house. I love doing laundry, even if there isn't anywhere to put it yet until we get stuff situated. The living room is almost normal looking, once we get stuff hung up and off the floor. I love having a mantle. Can't wait to decorate it ! Logan's room is getting there. I went through everything and sorted what was doubled, needed returning, put things sorta in their spots. This kid has so much clothes ! Can't wait to get a second bar and hang up some more of the cute little clothes ! And I ordered the baby bedding. It should be here in a week ! Ah ! I'm so excited to get the room semi-together. Get his little name frames on the wall, and the shelves and all that. And finally find a cushion for the glider so I can sit in it and just rock my little guy to sleep. Ah !
Everything else seems to be pretty normal. Work has been pretty laid back since everyone went to Boston for a conference. Talk about wonderful timing. But things went smoothly. Everyone made it there and back without Katie killing anyone :] I didn't go into labor before they got back. I'm pretty sure I didn't kill all the cells and only messed up a few things. Lame. Yay for having a horrible memory. It's been nice timing though since I can use this time to get outta the apartment and get into the house.
My doc appts have been going fine. Last week my blood pressure was a little high and we all had a moment of panic. But it went back down after relaxing and no early delivery. At my appointment today Doc measured my belly and said we're still measuring big. And nexy week we'll have another ultrasound (!!) and measure him again. So I get another peek ! I'm excited. Except when I joked about bringing my hospital bag in case and Doc was like... well, might not be a bad idea. AH ! Scary. But yay for more ultrasound pics and to see my little guys chubby cheeks.
**Update: Totally forgot to add pictures. Loser.
How far along? 37 1/2 weeks.
Total weight gain: +26lbs ugh !
Maternity clothes? Barely covering. Yay big belly !
Stretch marks? Still only the 2 or 3 I saw earlier. Nothing intense.
Sleep: feels like a waste of time getting up every hour or so. Even if its just to toss and turn. it takes so much effort !
Best moment this week: My brother Josh feeling him kick. He's never felt a baby kick.
Miss Anything? Just having my mobility and ability to do things. I hate how tired I get, and back hurts so easily, and there's so much to do !
Movement: All over, all the time. Even though he's dropped, his favorite place is still up in my ribs !
Food cravings: FRUIT !! ah and it's almost all good and in season !
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really. Dust is gross.
Labor Signs: Sometimes some pangs. Baby has dropped so my hips are killing me...
Symptoms: Horrible hand joint pain. HORRIBLE. Numbness. I'm over my fat feet. And back pain.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. I've had to get creative with what rings fit that finger so people don't think I'm unmarried with my big belly.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody at the moment. I'm tired all the time. I work from sun up to sun down without a break and it's starting to kill me.
Looking forward to: Ultrasound next week ! And seeing my little guy so soon!
Look at that belly ! BYE PURPLE WALLS !
My wall I painted all by myself :]
When my awesome co-workers threw me a super amazing surprise baby shower :]
Beginning of 37 weeks ! Belly !

Good news !
SOOOO don't go see The Host. Especially if you read the book. I just wanted to laugh the whole time. So depressing. They tried. They really did... ::sigh:: but even non-read-bookers didn't have nice rave reviews. I heard "it was better than Twilight", "maybe the book was good, but that was the cheesiest movie I've ever seen" and then one "i liked it." My cute little sister in law who has read the book really actually liked it. I was shocked. But she is 14. So.. we'll blame that. This was really important to tell you, more like warn you, hence it being first. Except that it's not anywhere near important !
Where to start ! SO MUCH INFORMATION!
WE GOT OUR HOUSE ! Or "the" house. Chris says he feels weird calling it our house, cause it's not "ours" but whatever. We're living there, it will be our home for the next year to 18 months. Its ours!! But it closed Friday ! WOO! We went and looked at it Saturday. I love it so ! And got the bag of ridiculous keys. I swear, like 30 keys came with this house. Ya know.. really? Cause you need that many... except you do. And that night I moved the baby stuff in to his purple (tehe) room. So we have a living room back. That still feels tiny. Now that there's a huge living room waiting for me ! And then Chris moved his bike [out of my kitchen !! or hallway] into the house, and its all hung up on the existing hangers in the garage. He was so giddy. I love it. And moved two bookcases and books. AH. It's a start. We have random holes of empty space in our apartment. I LOVE IT! So now, I think we're getting paint today. WOO. So my cute baby boy doesn't have a purple room. And to get ride of the ugly stenciled border in the dining room [total 90's, so adorbs, gag] and the blue-blue-BLUE living room. I'm pretty much just excited in general to do anything cause it means this is finally happening ! So paint at least one room tonight [prob. the babes] and get that drying so I can start getting that set up. Then the living room when we have more time [anyone like to paint?] and the dining room cause really.. who cares as long as it gets done. So we can finally move EVERYTHING in. It will definitely be in short little car loads cause we don't have to be out until the 1st. OH. Yeah. Good news. My landlady isn't a totaly @#&^$! [translated into... witch...]. Chris went to drop off our "written" official notice [him, not me cause I hate her] and since it's the 8th that would be 30 days/1 month to May 8th. BUT my sweet husband wooed her and she said we can just go to the end of this month so that saves us a week and we don't have to pro-rate and, and and. WE PUT IN OUR NOTICE ! AHHH. 2 years and 9 months... Finally. FINALLY. OK. So house. YAY.
Next, General Conference. LOVE Conference. And don't worry if you missed my invitation to watch last week. They post them all, video, text, whatever you want ! So you can catch up on all the awesome-ness here ! I can't even begin to say what was my favorite, what stood out most. I got the overall vibe from a lot of talks about finding peace and trusting the Lord in these troubled times. And oh how we need it. If you seriously are stressed about the world, the horrible path we're on, just the insane things going on in society... there were quite a few talks addressing this issue. Like my previous post, we are here on earth to have joy, to find/make happiness and have peace in our lives. God didn't send us here to torture us and put us through this horrible situations without giving us the tools to handle them. Look it up. Seriously. Go now. Here, again!
So yeah. Conference rocked. My house is awesome. Yup. Great weekend.
I'm sure some other stuff has happened in the last week... My belly is all itchy and gross again, which I'm ecstatic about because it means it's growing, which means Logan finally got the memo to stop growing up into my ribs and decided to venture into the vertical growth pattern. THANK YOU! So really, nothing like waiting until the last month. Terd. And he's adorable. And awesome. And the cutest little baby. I really wish I was having another ultrasound this week and now having to wait another 2. Maybe Doc will change his mind. Probably not. I'm still fearing he'll wait too long to check him out and he'll be too big and I won't be able to deliver and I'll karate chop the doctor in the neck... Or not. We'll see. OR the complete opposite will happen and he'll come early [which I swear, I have the most honest to goodness feeling this kid isn't lasting another 4 weeks, he's gonna be an April baby. WATCH!] and like a fellow mommy in our church, had to deliver her kid at home. AT HOME. Her husband was on the phone with 911... and delivered the baby. UM... no. Silly crazy me has decided I need my hospital bag packed like yesterday... I've got the essentials.. HAHA. Hotel soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Oh and my free Enfamil welcome hospital baby something kit coupon. Only the good stuff goes in my bag. It's pretty pathetic. And I've started reading "natural" birthing tips, not cause I'm crazy [no offense any of you anti drugging my baby moms] and won't get an epidural, but if I'm delivering in my house/car/side of the road... I doubt I'll have an epidural handy. THAT needs to go into my hospital bag. Duh.
And... that's all my brain can handle at the moment.
House: check. Painting will start. Moving in will keep going. 3 weeks to go people. Starting picking your days to help [j/k.. unless you really will, then uh, call me!]
Baby: um.. we're getting there.
Work: is awesome as always. Everyone's getting ready to leave me to go to Boston. Lame.
Church: same old. We need new familys. I'm sick of everyone. j/k. Sorta.
Chris: I love my husband. He's incredible. I love him sitting next to me in conference sorta paying attention cause it was so hard to not let your mind wander back to all the things we need/can do to the house ! And having his schedule planned so this time next year he'll be gearing up to graduate. WOO for 4-year degrees in.. I don't know, 4 years !?

Forgot to get a 35 week picture last Sunday. So this was from Easter Sunday. Deal with it.
Our cute little family. My ginormous belly :]
Baby survey !
How far along? 36 weeks.
Total weight gain: 17 since last appt. Find out Thursday!
Maternity clothes? Love. And have branched out into Chris' tshirts since mine don't exactly reach far enough...
Stretch marks? I think I've spotted some on the lower belly. But only like 1. And now with all this last minute stretching, I'm sure they'll start cropping up !
Sleep: is off and on. Last night I only got up once. And it really isn't the baby. It's usually to pee or to push Chris until he stops snoring.
Best moment this week: Chris' reaction to feeling the baby with hiccups vs him saying I can't wait to meet him, but I can also wait the 4 more weeks so we can get ready <3 He's never said he can't wait for him to be here !
Miss Anything? Not being addicted to Tums. Yummy. And leaning forward without going numb/not breathing.
Movement: All the time. ALL-THE-TIME.
Food cravings: Peaches cause I haven't seen any good ones. Almost thru my 120398 batch of strawberries. Yummmmmy
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor Signs: Horrible hip pain from "baby descending/ligaments loosening" according to the baby blogs. Oh joy. And the same old crampy muscle pains... stupid contractions?
Symptoms: Heartburn. I'm fat. I waddle. I have the worst edema. Not really. But I need to move, I can't sit with my feet propped up on a pillow all day...
Belly Button in or out? In forever. and ever. It will never pop out. SAD DAY.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. I can get them on for maybe an hour. And then it cuts off circulation. :/
Happy or Moody most of the time: Right now, I couldn't be more happy. I can finally get stuff ready. WOO !!
Looking forward to: Painting the house. Getting stuff set up. My "naked" appointment later this week. See what's up with little Logan !

The Champion Fitness Drama
So there really isn't a reason for me to put this out here except I'm absolutely frustrated and seriously feel like I just start to get my head above water and breath and then I swear I start sinking again. And this is a very specific circumstance, not life in general. I'm still absolutely happy, just in this moment, I want to scream at life/karma or whoever.
So I screen my phone calls. Deal with it. Now you know when I don't answer your phone call. Unless I saved your number and know who you are, and even then, I still might not answer. So Chris yells at me all the time when I don't answer calls, especially since my cell phone is my only contact and who knows who's calling me and how important it might be, etc etc. Ok, leaving work, on my way to piano lessons I get a phone call from some random NY number... Chris says yay, go answer it. Bad move... Asking for a Haley Lewis... Oh goodness. What the heck, maiden name throw back. Apparently this random foreign guy is calling from a collection agency, and I have an outstanding gym membership that's been accumulating and past due and blah blah blah. So a gym membership, to a gym I haven't been to since 2007. The contact address is one I moved out of Aug 2007. Not even my last NJ address. I forward my mail, never got a bill, ever. I'm 99.9% sure I cancelled this membership especially since I moved to Florence and never wanted to drive to Hamilton to go to a gym. But apparently they have an outdated $590ish past due accumulated blah blah bill... COOL. I shouldn't have to pay, but "I" didn't follow policy and cancel my membership.
Trying to track down this gym so I can yell at them or see if that was even the gym I had. Guess what ! It's closed ! No WAY! No way to get any information from them. All their online reviews are shady and horrible and terrible. Great...
So I'm stuck on the phone with this guy, driving to piano lessons, tired, cranky from life, just wanting to talk to Chris and my financial genius father in law and figure out my options. Dude will not get off the phone with me. [ps. I know nothing about financial things, what my options are, what laws are, etc etc] So he says if we don't have some agreement when we hang up he has to file a refusal of payment and it goes on my credit report. Oh joy. I'm fine to talk to everyone and figure this out and pay what I'm responsible for [which I think is nothing, am I wrong?] I'm not trying to disappear and shirk this. I'll address it once I discuss with Chris and Mark. That's all I wanted. Give me 12 hours. You obviously have my phone number [OH you have my phone number, but can't get an updated address in the past 6 years? Or wait this long to call me? I've had the same number forrrrrrever].
Guy is giving me every option. You owe $590 or something, I can offer you $375 if you pay now. Nope. Gotta talk to my husband. Well, what about a monthly plan, or bi weekly, or weekly payments over the next few months to pay the $590... NO. I WILL NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING UNTIL I TALK TO MY HUSBAND. You understand English ! LISTEN TO ME. By this time I'm almost to my in laws for lessons. Ticked I answered, cranky cause I hate this, I hate money, I hate all this crap. So he's like I'll let you off the phone, not turn this in as a negative to your credit, IF you agree to give me some amount of $$ as an "intent to pay" so they'll be satisfied I'm "trying." Ok. Now.. how do I trust to give you ANY bank/credit card/address information. I don't know who you are, if you're company is even real, if any of this is true. You could have found my name, address and phone number anywhere and say you're collecting a debt. Collection agency's shady. He gives me this whole run down and how he'll protect my information, gives me all his information, company name, website, extension, my case number, all this stuff. In retrospect I should have "accidentally" lost service, or hung up or told him thats nice that he'll protect my information but I've gotta go. Nope. Smart pregnant silly brained Haley gives her visa card information to him and authorizes a $50 "intent to pay" charge. WHHHHHHY. Gives me a confirmation number. Swears I'll get an email since they're "legit." So continuing to try to get off the phone, by this time I'm at my in-laws, lessons were supposed to have started 10 minutes ago. I've already dealt with this guy for 30 mins, trying to drive, write down all this crap information he's given me, just get off the phone so I can talk to Chris and Mark and get through lessons, find out what the options are, google this gym to see if it's even the gym I went to... And he's offering me ANOTHER payment option. What if I offer the 375 in month payments, etc etc. And I'm like look man, I just need to get off the phone with you. I gave you my visa number, I've authorized the $50 payment, I'll be in touch with you, please leave me alone. I have piano lessons. WHHHHHY.
I don't even remember how I got off the phone, but I did. As soon as I hung up, immediately I'm like Haley, you're an idiot. Why did you give your credit card information (at least it wasn't bank info). Get home tell Chris, he's upset obviously. We go to the bank, cancel my card just like 1hr too late, the charge is pending. Still cancel the card just in case this company isn't legit and tries to get all $500 and whatever. So at least they only get this $50.
And I find out, the best option would have been to say screw you, I don't know you, send me some proof of bill, invoice, statement, charges ANYTHING and then address this once we got the information. They're threat of reporting it to the credit agency was empty because they have to wait 30 days from first contact to report (and this is the first I've heard ever) and then I have time to dispute things on my credit report. So in retrospect... hang up. Tell these people where to go. They have no power over me. Why did I let them bully me. LAME.
So now we're in limbo to track down some paper that says something about me, the gym, membership charges, etc.
AND, when Chris called to request statement/invoice or whatever since we don't have anything, this lady tried to tell him they sent a request or something bill whatever, to his parents address (cause that's the address I gave the man earlier today to update my contact info so they could be in touch with me). So they sent a bill to "Haley Lewis" in 2009 to my in laws house. I didn't marry Chris until 2010. He was on a mission in 2009. I was in NJ/Utah... I didn't even KNOW their address... HOW COULD YOU SEND ANYTHING THERE !
AH. LIES. Frustrated. I want to drive to piscataway and punch them in the face. If anyone wants to drive by where my gym USED to be, it's on the left going up 206 North in Bordentown right before you get to the crazy cloverleaf round-a-bout thing that heads you into Trenton or Hamilton. If you know Bordentown, you know where I'm talking. Right by the 195 on ramp. So go by. See the shadiest former gym that's "moved/closed" convenient for them.
The end. Well not really. This is just like the first chapter. I wish it was the end. I wish they'd just take the $50 be shady and run away.
